Other companies use all sorts of wood, but we use only hardwood, which is inherently denser than softwood. The densest wood yields the hottest fires for the most time. In particular, we sell oak, which is dense even among hardwoods, though others include birch, beech and maple.
As for dryness, “seasoning” is the most popular process among major retailers, which is nothing apart from leaving firewood in a dry place for six months, and it does make a small difference, but our kilns can do something much better. For about two days, we heat our firewood in kilns to remove moisture, pests, mold and fungus.

We offer three sizes for firewood orders: ¼ face cord (4’x2’), ½ face cord (4’x4’) and 1 face cord (4’x8’). If a face cord isn’t enough, you can always order additional face cords, but a face cord works for most residential customers. If you’d like to order mulch, we sell it by cubic yard, but you shouldn’t have to worry too much about geometry because we have a calculator.
