Our kiln-drying process is much faster and more effective, producing the driest, most pristine firewood in no more than two days.
Density is also critical because it determines how long fires endure and how hot they are. An important distinction is between softwoods and hardwoods because hardwoods are much denser. All our firewood is hardwood; we even sell oak, the densest local hardwood.

To make cooking wood, we chop our firewood into pieces small enough for grills and pizza ovens. No different from our firewood, our cooking wood allows fires to yield greater heat for more time.
The driest wood is the easiest to light, but dryness is also a significant factor in determining which cooking wood is best. Excess moisture creates excess creosote and smoke upon ignition. Excess creosote in your food can be dangerous, and you’ll want to limit smoke because it can sour your meat. Plus, our drying process ensures that our cooking wood contains no bugs, fungus or mold with which to contaminate any food.
