There’s something about Schaumburg that puts us in a good mood. Perhaps it’s the incredible indoor attractions like the massive Woodfield Mall or the family-friendly LEGOLAND Discovery Center.
Those are great, but we also love getting outside and enjoying the beautiful views. Schaumburg has a fantastic sculpture park, and we also enjoy admiring the beautiful oak, ash and maple trees native to the region. These types of wood also make great firewood and mulch!
More than anything else, we love Schaumburg for its residents. We’ve developed some great relationships with customers in the village over the years. They come to us for firewood in the fall and winter and mulch in the spring and summer, and we’re always there whenever they call.
A funny thing happened when we started our family-owned company back in 1993. Although we had one location in Woodstock, word spread about us throughout the Chicago suburbs. And before too long we had customers throughout the region, including in Schaumburg.
Transporting our wood just over 30 miles from Woodstock to Schaumburg was already quick and easy. But delivery became even more efficient when we opened our processing yard in nearby Lake in the Hills.

Let’s start with our firewood. You may be under the impression that all firewood is the same. But you’ll want to rethink that assumption after you hear how we do it.
Wood experts agree that the most important characteristics of the best firewood are density and dryness. If the wood isn’t dense, it won’t burn for very long. And good luck starting and enjoying a fire if the wood’s too wet. That’s a good recipe for frustration and a face full of smoke!
We’ve eliminated both problems by only selling kiln-dried hardwood for burning. Hardwood is the densest type of wood, making it ideal for long burns. We take this wood and put it in a kiln for two days to take out the moisture, insects and mold. What’s left is dense wood with exceptionally low moisture content. In other words, what’s left is pure fire!
One thing we appreciate about Schaumburg residents is the pride they take in their landscaping. They put a lot of effort into making their flower beds and garden plots look beautiful. But sadly, all that effort can go to waste if they use subpar mulch.
Bad mulch is the cheap stuff you find at your local hardware store. Often that bagged stuff contains recycled wood from pallets, which contains chemicals that could harm your soil and plants. It also doesn’t look nearly as good as mulch which only consists of pure organic hardwood.
Therefore, we don’t cut corners when it comes to processing our mulch. All we put into the mulcher is responsibly harvested hardwood. What comes out is a premium groundcover that will nourish your soil, suppress weeds and make your landscape beds look gorgeous!

First, let’s look at the options for ordering firewood and mulch. On one side of the menu, we have our kiln-dried firewood. A popular option for Schaumburg residents is to order a batch of our hardwood blend for your fireplace or outdoor fire pit. This blend includes pieces of birch, hickory, cherry and oak wood.
Do you have a restaurant? A good option for you may be a pallet of our kiln-dried cooking wood to fuel your wood-fired cooking.
On the other side of the menu, we have our hardwood mulches. These come in four delectable flavors: premium hardwood, premium bark, chocolate mulch and red-colored mulch.

Another benefit of ordering from us is you can custom size your order to the exact amount of firewood or mulch you need.
When ordering firewood, you can choose ¼ face cord (4’x2’), ½ face cord (4’x4’) or 1 face cord (4’x8’) to get a lot of wood or a little.
As for mulch, you can place your order by the cubic yard. And if you’re not sure how much you need, you can let our mulch calculator do the math for you.
Once you know what you want, all that’s left is to call us at 815-337-1451 and place your order. You can then choose whether you want to pick it up or have it delivered to your home or business.
If you opt for delivered, you can be as specific as you want about where we should drop off your wood. Right side of the driveway, left side of the driveway, in the southeast corner of the parking lot—you name it, and we’ll follow your instructions to a T. We’ll also let you know when to expect your wood and keep you updated if there are any delivery delays. So, you’ll know when and where to expect your wood.
